Dr. Skye Reed grew up in Thousand Oaks, California but spent her summers with her grandparents in Colorado. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with her B.S. in Biology in 2016 then moved to St. Kitts in the Caribbean to attend Ross University for her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She completed her fourth-year clinical rotations at Colorado State University and graduated with her DVM in 2021.
Dr. Reed spent the first 5 years after graduation practicing in Southern California but moved back to Colorado in 2026, as it’s where she feels the most at home. Dr. Reed first knew she wanted to be a veterinarian when she was 6-years-old and grew more passionate about her dreams while growing up with and caring for a German shepherd suffering from epilepsy. She loves discussing nutrition and allergy management, and has a special interest in soft tissue surgery. Dr. Reed loves all of her patients but especially has a soft spot for orange tabbies and German shepherds.
Outside of the office, she lives with her boyfriend on a 600 acre farm where they raise Highland cattle and care for horses, dogs, cats, snakes, and an army of chickens. She enjoys riding her horses, spending time outdoors, and skiing in the winter.
